Facebook & Instagram Data Deletion Request

Grassroots Lottery is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you remain in control of your personal information.

If you have connected your Facebook or Instagram account to Grassroots Lottery and wish to have any associated data removed from our systems, you may request deletion at any time.

What information do we store?

Depending on the features you have used, we may store:

• Your Facebook User ID

• Your name

• Your email address (where provided by Meta)

• Connected Facebook Page IDs

• Connected Instagram Business Account IDs

• Access tokens used to publish content on your behalf

• Basic profile information supplied by Meta

We do not store your Facebook or Instagram password.

How to request deletion

You can request deletion of your Facebook and Instagram data using one of the following methods.

Option 1 – From within Grassroots Lottery

If you still have access to your Grassroots Lottery account:

1. Sign in to your account.

2. Navigate to My Club > Socials > Connected Accounts.

3. Disconnect your Facebook and/or Instagram account.

This will revoke our access to your Meta account and remove the stored connection from our systems.

Option 2 – Contact Us

If you no longer have access to your account, you can request deletion by contacting us.

Please include:

• Your full name

• The email address associated with your Grassroots Lottery account

• The Facebook Page or Instagram Business Account connected (if known)

• A brief request stating that you would like your Meta data deleted

What happens when we receive your request?

Once we have verified your identity, we will:

• Remove all Facebook and Instagram access tokens.

• Remove any connected Facebook Pages and Instagram Business Accounts from your account.

• Delete Facebook and Instagram identifiers stored within our systems where they are no longer required.

• Remove any cached Meta profile information associated with your account.

Please note that some information may need to be retained where required by law, such as financial or accounting records relating to lottery participation or payments. Any such information will only be retained for the minimum period required by applicable legislation.

How long does deletion take?

We aim to complete all verified deletion requests within 30 days. Most requests are completed much sooner.
